  1. “Enjoyed our stay at the Place D'Armes, it is very conveniently situated and the room was extremely comfortable. Our only minor complaint was that we think the hotel should review its breakfast which is held in the bar area. Quality should be lifted eg : use fresh orange juice rather than the carton.”

  3. “We were situated right above the bar and ended up not getting a lot of sleep because of it - we were able to somehow sleep over the bass sounds coming from the bar on thursday and friday, but on saturday, people were yelling outside the bar well after 2 am in the morning. On top of that, a fire alarm forced us to evacuate into the lobby on saturday at midnight... and then we found out that they were going to shut off the water because of construction in the street on sunday morning at 9 am,”

  6. “The stay was excellent, my family and I have stayed there many times. This stay, we were very surprised to see a number of items that were over-looked by the housekeeping staff ... missing light bulbs in the light by the bed, broken toilet roll holder, room cleaning missed ... they need to focus on the little but important details to keep their high rating ...”

  8. “our hotel stay was wonderful. we loved the hotel ... beautifully appointed ... staff and service were superb. the only negative was the noise level in the bar that detracts from the ambiance of the restaurant -- so we cancelled our dinner reservation and decided to eat somewhere else.”

  12. “I arrived at Place d'Armes Saturday morning ~11am. They informed me that my room was not ready and since they were full that night, they had upgraded my standard room to a mini-suite. I was very impressed and pleased. I chose a room in the older part of the hotel that was on two levels. A very lovely room but many of the light bulbs in the chandelier were burnt out and someone had neglected to remove a water bottle from a cabinet. The older part of the hotel is accessed by only one elevator and also is the access for the roof top bar. The room was a little noisy.”
