2. “It's the grand lady of hotels in the city. It doesn't have the edge of the Fasano (or thankfully the wanna be showmanship of its guests) but it has substance and more traditional refined appeal. It has much history, a great location, and last but not least for me, the best pool possible. The room was also quite spacious and we enjoyed the proportions and great ceiling heights.”

6. “This is my fourth or fifth time staying at the Copacabana Palace. And while the neighborhood pales in comparison these days to Ipanema and Leblon, no hotel trumps the Copa Palace ... the rooms are magnificent ... the pool is *THE* pool in all of Rio de Janeiro -- nothing comes close to comparing ... the spa is sublime ... and the maracuja caipis at the Pergula restaurant are more than memorable. And of course, one cannot forget to mention the Copa Palace team -- everyone who works there is the consummate professional.”
