“It would be fair to say that I did not have great expectations of finding an attractive boutique hotel in San Antonio, so my hurdle was pretty low, and La Mansion just barely cleared it. The appointments such as the bed linen, carpeting and drapes were comensurate with a Courtyard Marriott. The room layout was narrow and awkward with an offset pair of french doors onto the balcony that made me so uncomfortable I had to close the drapes. At least it was on the riverwalk and in the liddle of things, and the breakfast was hearty.”
